The Vision

Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. “  By Acts 2:47, “the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”  Acts 2:42 Ministries is committed to reaching others with Christ’s life-giving message in local communities by living in a Biblical community and growing closer to Christ together.

What has happened so far

Acts 2:42, community, Bible, Ministries, donate, prayer, fellowship, bread, meal, Christian

In the Spring of 2011, God directed the purchase of a mobile home.  This would be the home of a person that didn’t have the means to provide for their own housing.  After renovating the mobile home, God provided a person to move in but this person could only afford to pay some rent.  Since that time there have been regular meetings where the Bible is studied, prayer occurs, and meals are shared.   Over time this person has been able to increase the amount of rent that they can pay.  In an effort to reach residents many have been told about Christ and invited to church. For the last several years, both children and adults have received English and reading tutoring.

Next Steps

Acts 2:42 Ministries aims to have multiple locations where residents reach out to their neighbors. Right now there is only one location, but Acts 2:42 Ministries would love to see another added.  Please prayerfully consider being part of this vision.  What would God ask you to do to reach the needy and those that don’t know Christ?  If you would like to be further involved click here.
